Buyers are lining up for Toowong’s new luxury riverfront apartment project Banc , following the recent launch of a new sales and display suite showcasing the quality of the development’s ‘home-sized’ apartments.
Several apartments in the boutique building are already under contract to predominantly local purchasers looking to downsize from a family home in Toowong and surrounding suburbs, without sacrificing their living space or lifestyle.
Banc comprises 33 apartments ranging up to 236sqm, along with a host of recreational facilities including an infinity edge pool, landscaped gardens and an exclusive wine cellar and tasting room for residents.
Banc is being developed by Ideal Property Australia and apartments in Banc range from $899,000 through to $2.9 million.
An expansive Sky Mansion offering 455sqm of living space across the entire top floor of Banc is also available. The Sky Mansion features floor to ceiling windows offering panoramic river views from the living and dining areas plus master bedroom.
Two of the latest purchasers in Banc are Peter and Sadie Rossi, who are downsizing from their five bedroom Toowong family home which they have lived in for more than 22 years.
The couple, who are in their early 50’s, were introduced to Banc by developer Ideal Property six months ago, and a recent visit to the new sales and display suite cemented their decision to purchase.
Mrs Rossi says the purchase of a three bedroom, level ten apartment is an exciting start to the next chapter of their lives.
“We have lived in Toowong for more than two decades and love the neighbourhood, so we didn’t really want to leave and were thrilled when the opportunity to buy in Banc presented itself,” she said.
“The apartments in Banc are very well designed and we are pleased that we will be able to keep most of our current furniture due to the spacious and flexible floorplans on offer.
“We are also impressed by the absolute riverfront location of the building which means we will never be built out, as well as Banc’s proximity to Toowong Village, the CityCat terminal and pedestrian and bike paths which lead to local restaurants, galleries and parks.
“We have chosen an apartment with a north-east aspect and we were able to use a new interactive screen in the sales and display centre to see what the stunning views of the city and river will be like from our balcony, which was very exciting.
“It’s nice to be moving into a boutique building which means we will be part of a community but the on site facilities won’t be too crowded so we can still entertain our family and friends in a peaceful and private setting.”
Banc was designed by multi-award winning WMK Architecture , project architect for Sydney’s iconic Barangaroo Headland Park Cultural Space, with interior design by fellow Barangaroo consultants SJB.
Banc sales agent Peter Hutton of Hutton and Hutton Real Estate says the project has been cleverly designed to meet the needs of an emerging buyer demographic.
“New developments perform best when they are designed with a defined target market in mind. From the outset, Banc was created to meet the needs of inner city residents ready to downsize without losing the amenity associated with a private home,” he said.
“Banc’s appeal is a blend of much larger than average floorplans, stunning panoramic views of the river and city and the unique lifestyle afforded by on site amenities, including the wine cellar which is a rare inclusion in an apartment building.
“Our new sales and display centre features a replica kitchen, living room and bathroom so buyers can see what their new home will look like, and then take an interactive tour of Banc on a new tablet display to choose the apartment that suits them best.”
