Brisbane’s Only Sub 40 Apartment Building Starts Construction

Construction has commenced on the luxury $70 million riverfront Banc Apartments tower in Toowong – the only new building of less than 40 apartments currently being built in inner Brisbane.

The 34-apartment tower has begun major works as new research by Place Advisory shows all  61 projects recently  completed, underway or awaiting construction in the city boast at least 40 apartments, with only three including  less than 50 and 28 featuring less than 100 (source: Place Advisory Inner Brisbane Apartments Market Report June Quarter 2017).

When complete, Banc  Apartments will rise  15 levels, with only a limited number of the 34 residences remaining following a spate of sales in what property agents say is  a strong show of confidence in Brisbane’s luxury market.

Developer Ideal Property Australia says it has met pre-sale requirements and has now awarded builder McNab the tender to commence construction, with completion expected by December 2018. Ideal says it is confident the project will sell out well ahead of anticipated completion.

Place Estate Agent Simon Caulfield, who is selling Banc, says the success of the development has been underpinned by catering to the demand of western suburb families and empty nesters.

He says Banc is staying true to the definition of ‘premium living.’
